I have been designing logos and signs for the
business community since 1972. My first
employment in this field was at Portland
Sign Company, as a sketch artist-designer.

For these three years I created logos and full
color renderings for the sales staff to sell
electric signs in the region. Then I followed
up with the blue prints for the shop to
construct the sold designs.

After some time I became interested in the
hand lettering aspect of the sign industry. So
I began an apprenticeship as a sign painter,
while continuing to design at Portland Sign
Company. Finally in 1975 I branched out on
my own.
